The Pakistan Army successfully thwarted an attack by killing nine militants, who attacked the Mianwali Training Base of the Pakistan Air Force during the early hours of November 4.
The Islamist terror group Tehreek-e-Jihad reportedly claimed responsibility for the massive terror attack, that left three grounded aircraft and a fuel tanker damaged.
Amid this, a video of an aircraft on fire went viral on social media. Pakistan’s national flag can be seen painted on the tail of the burning jet. The same was also picked up by some media reports. The video garnered substantial traction and was carried in various media reports about the Mianwali attack.
Sharing the video on Facebook, one person wrote, "Unknown people strike again. They destroy 6 fighter planes of Pakistan Air Force training base in Mianwali. Who are these unknown men?" An archived version of a similar post can be seen here.
Indian Today Fact Check found that this video is from an old protest and has no connection to the recent terror attack at Mianwali Air Base.
